Meet Jillian Lai, Dental Hygienist
Jill’s path into dentistry began in a classroom rather than a clinic. After working as a primary school teacher, she transitioned into the dental profession as a dental assistant, where she discovered a strong interest in oral health and patient education.
A Broad Dental Background
Working in periodontic and paediatric dental environments played an important role in shaping Jill’s professional direction. Her experience as a dental assistant included supporting procedures involving general anaesthesia, dental surgery, implants, grafts, surgical extractions, and laser procedures. She has also worked in periodontic and holistic practice settings.
Clear, Practical Patient Education
Jill enjoys helping patients understand their oral health and supporting them in developing positive habits that fit their lifestyle. Drawing on her teaching background, she focuses on clear communication and practical guidance during appointments.
Away From Work
Outside the clinic, Jill enjoys an active and creative lifestyle. She spends time at the gym, participates in boxing, enjoys building Lego projects, and finds relaxation through gardening. Travelling is another passion whenever time allows.
